MCTE: Holiday Celebration through Client Appreciation

holiday-party

On December 1st, Music City Tents & Events kicked off the holiday season with a client appreciation event! This party took place in the MCTE Showroom, and consisted of friends, food, ‘holiday bourbon punch‘ and an invitation to get your nails done by the Manicures-n-Motion team. This celebration continued on for 5 hours, and was full of lots of laughter while reminiscing on what was a crazy and exciting 2016 event year. This was a small thank you to our vendors, clients and industry friends who make this job and the event field so wonderful to be a part of! Photographed above: Sarah, Heather, Maryanna and Lindsey of Music City Events. Thank you to all who attended and everyone who has contributed to Music City’s growth and success this year. We…

How long have you been working for your dad? “As Gary’s daughter, I have been exposed to the industry since I was young. Growing up, I remember going to the many shows GMP produced and seeing all the ‘behind the scenes’ action required to achieve live production. Meet the Team: Alexis

alexis-office

MCTE places a high priority on creating an environment that nurtures employee growth and strength on many levels, and our General Manager Alexis is such a great example of that company culture. Growing up overseas, Alexis has always been passionate about embracing different cultures and ethnicities. After discovering her passion for personal training at her time at Auburn University, Alexis began pursuing a career in personal training post graduation. Soon she met an MCTE executive who became one of her clients and before you know it, she was offered a day job at MCTE. As they say, the rest is history! Alexis began her career with the company as a receptionist over three years ago. Within seven months she moved back to the customer pickup area, and…

Meet the Team: Fatima

IMG_8983

For some people, family is so important, they seek and create it everywhere they go. This is especially the case for Fatima, Linens Department Manager at MCTE. Of course, with seven kids, a loving family, and an awesome work team, we’ve grown to consider the word “family” synonymous with Fatima, and for more reasons than her tireless positivity and warmth. Fatima walked into MCTE to inquire about a job over eight years ago. She met with JT (who most of you know as one of our beloved and charismatic CEOs), who accepted her application. As Fatima began to leave, she asked one of the linen press employees if she could try her hand at the machine, just to understand how the job worked. Unbeknownst to…

MCTE Gives Back!

20160504_170011_resized

Every quarter the Music City Tents & Events management rolls out a “theme” to engage and encourage company wide involvement in a whole array of areas. This quarter’s theme was all about MCTE MPACT! or in other words, how we as a company can impact each other, our clients, Nashville, and beyond. The letters stand for “P” Posts, “A” Attendance, “C” Community Service, and “T” touches! Throughout the quarter, we’ll give you a glimpse into our theme and share some pictures and feedback along the way. Today’s post is all about our Community Service. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting the opportunity to give back to our great city in a variety of ways. A couple weeks ago, some of the warehouse team got together to…

Meet the Team: Katie

Capture

i love working with my cheekwood clients- the results are extraordinary! Most people watch “The Wedding Planner” movie and assume this industry is just like J-Lo portrayed, but we all know that isn’t the case: there’s a lot more that goes into bringing event ideas to reality. Sometimes our career paths endure many twists and turns before arriving at the current destination, much like our sales team member Katie’s story. Katie hails from Appleton, WI (trivia: also the home of Harry Houdini). The daughter of a cardiologist and a nurse, Katie took the opposite path of her parents and siblings and chose to study English at Washington & Lee University in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. She began a wedding planner internship after her freshman…
