Every quarter the Music City Tents & Events management rolls out a “theme” to engage and encourage company wide involvement in a whole array of areas. This quarter’s theme was all about MCTE MPACT! or in other words, how we as a company can impact each other, our clients, Nashville, and beyond. The letters stand for “P” Posts, “A” Attendance, “C” Community Service, and “T” touches!

Throughout the quarter, we’ll give you a glimpse into our theme and share some pictures and feedback along the way. Today’s post is all about our Community Service. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting the opportunity to give back to our great city in a variety of ways.

A couple weeks ago, some of the warehouse team got together to wrap diapers for the Nashville Diaper Connection which is a growing network of community support that plans and promotes diaper drives to donate to those who can’t afford to buy diapers. Every little bit helps! To participate or donate, find their website here.

did you know you can buy candy with food stamps but diapers are classified with cigarettes and alcohol as disallowed purchases?

We also had a few of our guys participate in a breakfast at Phoenix Rising Halfway House where they spent the morning with the guys hearing their stories of turning their lives around after incarceration. At Phoenix Rising, they assist their clients into re-entry to the community from confinement by providing temporary housing, mentoring, and job preparedness. We are lucky to play a small role in this amazing organization!
